Looking at a farmall AI does anyone know what an AI that runs with fairly rough sheetmetal is valued at ? Definitely needs fixed up ,battery box, rubber all the way around and a whole lot of sanding and painting . Anybody that can give me an idea would be greatly appreciated.

Any response to this post is going to be pure opinion especially in the absence of photos. You would need to think about the cost of what is missing...tires, battery boxes, sheet metal...all some of the big bucks items on the tractor. Running is nice but then they all ran when parked. :)

the condition you describe under a 1100 running, if
it does not run under 400. rubber alone is going to
set you back 700+ for fronts and rears and tubes
new.

(quoted from post at 23:04:01 03/08/10) Are you talking about a International AI or about a Fafmall Super A1 ?

It is a farmall super AI runs and drives great just looks rough.

There is no such thing as a Farmall Super AI, you said I not one. There is a Farmall Super A1 (one). They were built only in 1954, not particularly rare, but desireable. Most people have never seen one. There is also an INTERNATIONAL Super A, and an International Super A1. The decal on all of the above will say Super A, not A1 or AI, from the factory. There are aftermarket people that sell those decals, but they are incorrect. The serial prefix on the inside of the left seat bracket will say FAA for Farmall, IAA for International, and uses those prefixes with a -1 after it if either is a Super A1.

Gonna go look at it again this week the guy told me it was an AI . I can tell you that this was originally painted yellow if that makes a difference in what it might be.

Look at the serial number prefix, a diamond shaped front axle, a bar going from the axle to the chassis, and a foot throttle. Serial prefix, not the color tells the story. If plate is missing, look at the serial prefix on the engine IAAM or ICM.
