Need to find out where to get some of those special bolts that attach the fertilizer distributor and/or the seeder to the side of the mainframe on the tractor. There are two bolts for each side.
Thanks

Fastenall should have any bolt you need. Try to determine the size & thread on whether its NF or NC. Probably NC cap screws were used. Hal

These bolts are 3/4 inch NC, with tapered shoulders like lug bolts. You can probably get new ones from an IH dealer. But your best bet is to find a salvage yard that has them. I tried to find them other wise, and had no luck. Some of the lug bolts for heavy equipment are similar and available in 3/4 inch, but all the ones I found were fine thread.

The reference I checked (happened to be implements for a 100) lists them as 5/8 x 1-1/4, part number PO 25842A for a fertilizer attachment. I think there are 2 sizes of holes various places on the bell housing, so check what you need.

Messick's shows that part number as good, but at close to $20 per. Tmtractor has Cub drawbar bolts (same type, listed as an inch long) for less than 1/2 that price. You might check with TM to see if they have longer ones.

I assumed those bolt were 3/4 inch like the drawbar bolts. If they are 5/8 inch, Steiner tractor has the Cub drawbar bolts which will work. You can also get them from TM tractor.

I have NO idea about what a 140 needs, but on my M/H I use carriage bolts. They engage the square holes and don't need a wrench on the inside. They may not be right, but they serve the purpose well.

I found some allen head cap bolts that are the same size, width, depth and thread. The shoulder is tapered just like the one I needed. Got them from Fastenal Co. for a little over a dollar a piece. So now I can use a large allen wrench instead of a socket wrench.

Thanks for youalls help.
