1953 Super H Farmall Grill Emblem

I recently purchased my first Farmall Super H and have some confusion about the front emblem. The Super H tractors I"ve seen have had the small square emblem above the grill but mine is missing and the holes look like the wider Farmall H emblem went on this tractor. I know it"s a super because the model number on the tag has SH for the model. Did the earlier Super Hs have the wider farmall emblem? Mine is serial 4,524AJ. Thanks

It is supposed to have the square IH emblem but some people prefer the look of the Farmall logo and put that on there instead.

Or someone swapped grills with a Regular H

Could be some one changed the grille on your tractor, put one from a older H on it.

Fill the holes, drill new holes, repaint, put on the right trim....or not.

Thanks for the help. After researching some pictures of 1953 Super Hs, I've actually seen two that had the black background wide badge like the Hs. I guess there were some who prefered that grill as you say.

If it is an H grill it will not have the 1"+ diameter hole on each side in the grill section even with the front cultivator mount holes. Hope I discribed that OK, if not look at some Super H grill pictures. Roger
