My google searching isn't turning anything up...

What all loader models will fit on a Farmall M? Any of them with any advantages over the others?

Thanks!

most older 'universal fit'loaders will fit.farmhand f-11;Du-all300/320;JohnsonWorkhorse;Lion; Lots more that Icant tthink of or remember.

I think the IH model# was the 33. I had a trip bucket, so basically all you could do was lift something straight up. Then dump. Ours had a manure fork with 7 or 8 flat prongs. Then there was a dirt bucket that fit over the prongs.

They were a pretty rugged loader. Kinda heavy on a tricycle front end and you had to be extrememly careful to not load it too heavy, or drive with a load too high up in the air. As far as a stationary, straight up lift. I have seen my dad pick up white oak logs, 12 - 14' in length that were 18 or 20" in diameter on the little end.

Now you wanted to pick the log up and back a wagon underneath it. Didn't want to drive around with that kinda load or you would end up upside down.

Good luck, Gene

I've seen people modify 2000 and 2001 loaders to fit on M's Super M's and the 400 series. I have a Super M with a 2000 loader on it. Works pretty well other then the hydraulics on the tractor had to be completely reworked to accept the loader and the mounting points had to be adjusted well. Most of these early loaders should be able to fit with some adjustments to the mounting points.

Anything can be made to fit with enough fabrication work. That's the universal answer.

If you don't want to do fabrication work, then buy a loader off of a Farmall M.

IMHO, unless you are going for a "period correct" tractor, avoid the old fashioned straight arm style loaders with trip buckets. They have very limited usefulness, with limited lift height and narrow buckets.

I have a 33 on my 350. The big cylinders do give them a decent amount of lift - if you don't run out of hydraulic fluid.

We had an M that had the F11 loader on it, did anything we wanted it to do plus. primary use was to load the skidway with logs, had a set of hyster teeth fabbed up, worked pretty slick, and then we had the snow bucket for it also and that worked great! And the F11 loaders look like they a factory fit
