old pto hyd unit

I came across this unit that was on a M and am trying to get it to work. Don't know anything about it and cannot find any information on it either. It is self contained in this canister with the pump screen and valve inside. Would like to know oil they used and also pressure and volume specs. If anybody has that info it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

if its a red one, it could be a char-lynn. if you look close at back of my w-9 you can see the pto mounted pump. you can run either 30 wt oil, or i run hy-tran. pump will put out about 1000 psi. there were single and double acting units. i have a one way in the barn some where too. fill the unit with oil, engage the pto and then use the lever on the side to activate the valving

Thank you for the info. Do you fill it completely full? I don"t see any check plug on it. Thanks again for the info.
