I came across this in the local paper and thought some of you might be interested. I'm not involved with the department and I don't know anything about the condition.

LEGAL NOTICE

The Village of Lodi Fire Department will accept sealed bids for the sale of the following item which is no longer needed or fit for village purposes: 1965 International Harvester Scout 80, Standard Cab, 4x4, 4 cylinder, 3 speed, 5,353 miles, used as grass fire unit, removed from service in 2005, now only used for parades and non service details - Minimum bid price is $3,500 The items will be sold "AS IS". For further information call Chief Wurstner at 330-948-4171. Sealed bids will be received until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Bids may be mailed or submitted to : Lodi Village Offices, 108 Ainsworth Street, Lodi, Ohio 44254. Please mark envelope "Bid for 1965 Scout".

Man, I would be, we have 7 of them and another 80 series with that low miles would be a nice addition to the fleet! BUT, its too far away. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
