Did the 656 utility sit lower than the other versions? We had one on our farm with a loader. it had the shorter wheelbase. It seemed to sit lower but it was 1981 the last time I saw it.

Their were a bunch of variations including the Utility, Hi Utility, and Hi Clear versions besides the Farmall which was also available as Hi Clearance

my neighbor has a 'rowcrop utility'.another has a Farmall 'Hydro;another,witn gaerdrive.

Ours was gear drive. In the later years it had this habit of sticking in gear. We ended up removing an access panel so we could where ever it happened take a hammer and pointed chisel and push pins back into place.
