farmall H gear shift

hey guys i had to pull the gearshift on my H to clean the deck plate for paint. the 2 caps that hold the retainer pin in got damaged where can i find new ones???? thanks.

My H has a different kind of pin that has a head on one end and holes in the other end to put a cotter pin in. It seems to work, but I know it's not original.

Correct. That pin is not original, but it works. One of my tractors has a bolt with a nut. It isn't pretty, but it works. I'll make it right someday.

Correct. That pin is not original, but it works. One of my tractors has a bolt with a nut. It isn't pretty, but it works. I'll make it right someday.

My H does, too. I got the $25 kit from Farm Country that comes with a replacement pin and two caps. I am just afraid that when I get into mine it will be too wallered out to accept the new setup! My H is WORN OUT.
