cub sickle bar

Short answer no, there was a similar but larger version made for the Super A through 140.

It has been done with enough welding rod and scrap iron, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I believe the cub driveline from the pto through the mower turns in the opposite direction as well.

The cutterhead assembly is IDENTICAL between the Cub and Super A versions.

However, the mule drive is completely different. The Cub's is too short and has the wrong pulley ratio for an A. The cutterhead will hit the rear tire, and the bar will not move fast enough if you use a Cub drive on a Super A.

You need a Super A mounting frame and drive pulley to make it work. If you're anywhere near Rochester NY I know where you can get one.

PTO direction is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if the sickle bar goes left-right-left-right, or right-left-right-left.

I does negate the value of all those left-handed threads on the Cub parts.

E-gaads thats too bad, I have a really nice cub 22 inch sickle bar. Looks like original yellow paint and stickers still on it. I wondered about the drive to the bar, I suspected it would be too short for an A. Probably post it on e bay. Wonder what it is worth? Thanks for your help.
