My 1066 engine is bad. will the engine froma 1460 combine work. will parts from 1440 and 1460 cambines interchange? /thanks,Dean

1440 has a D-436, 1460 has a DT-436, Engine blocks are the same. Some external parts are different but interchangable.

Believe our 1460 has a 414T engine.

The blocks are exactly the same.

All you need to do is remove a few choice pieces from the 1066's engine and put them on the 1460's engine, like the front cover, rear plate, manifolds and turbo, oil filter bracket, throttle linkages, etc..

Well before i would go thru all the work of swapping engines out and putting in a engine that i have know idea on how it was taken care of i would rebuild mine as long as it did not have a VIEWING ports out the side of the block and the crank was not totally shot . then you know what you have and if you do the work yourself and if ya need a little help even if you have to pay someone to help you over the rough spots of the rebuild i think you would be way ahead.
