Re:Super A 12 volt conversion

Two choices:
Find a 12V generator, buy a new regulator, change out the bulbs, Battery, and leave it basically stock looking.
Or:
Use a Hitachi alternator (Or Delco 10SI) setup and the other stuff, and go with modern. Bob M wiring diagrams (in the archives) will provide all needed info. The L terminal is the same as #1 on a Delco, the S terminal goes to the Alt output stud. Jim
 
How come? You don't actually need 12v to start that tractor. Maybe I am a little bit of a purist but I always enjoy getting them running and keeping them that way "as designed". If you want to go middle of the road there is such a thing as a 6v alternator.
 
Not really that hard to do. I did my son's Super C, also did a friends SA..
I manufactured my own mounts..
I guess it's your tractor and you can do what you want.

Here is a picture of Son's SC with alternator.I used the pulley off the 6v generator
