Just finished up the restoration on our 49 Farmall Cub last summer. I am just starting the restoration of our 51 MD. I have the pump and injectors done. Looking for some good precombustion chambers and possibly a spare set of injectors plus other items as they come up. All the used parts suppliers I used for the Cub don't handle stuff for the larger tractors.

Where are some places to contact for good used MD parts? Thanks.

I forgot to ask where you got the pump and injectors done. What did they cost (separate preferably)? Turn around time?
I have been trying to get my nozzle body retainers out and will try pretty hard tomorrow. My 2 and 3 injectors don't pulse so I think they need some help.

I got my pump and injectors done by Central Fuel Injection. Good guys to work with. I haven't had the chance to reinstall the pump and injectors to see how they work. From what I have heard, I should have no problem. I had several guys recommend them.

As for the price, OUCH, but we are talking old injection equipment here so I guess it is to be expected. I was in contact with Bill down their. He quoted me an exchange price for the pump of $900.00 with it being sent out right away. But I had wanted my pump back and he said they would do it for the same price but would take 1 week. Mine was in pretty bad shape. Must of had water in it from the previous owner at some time.

As for the injectors, he quoted me a price of $82.00 a piece plus parts. Well as with the pump, they must of had gotten water in them at some time. Bad shape but he got them working to the tune of $956.00. I had everything back in a little over 1 week.

I hope this helps.

I talked to him, too. I asked him what the norm was for parts in an injector and he said, "You never know." That answer kind of scared me. I understand there can be a bad valve thingy and that is like $150, but there has to be a standard price for taking it apart, cleaning, and new gaskets/copper. He said no.
It just scares me to UPS them out there and just say I will pay the bill when they come back.

Edit for a typo.
