If there was no sign of the coloration from your coolant, I'd hazard that the small amount of water is condensation or maybe a little rainwater down the stack. Running a tractor or any motor regularly up to operating temp is usually enough to steam off any water in the crankcase from condensation. If it's been settin' a while, it might just have accumulated. With the info you gave, I'd say odds are good you're gonna be just fine.

TRACTOR STAYS IN SHED,HAVE NOT RUN SINCE SEPT. BUT IT HAS BEEN VERY WET THIS YEAR.GOD I HOPE I HAVE NOT CRACKED IT.GOT A BAD HABIT JUST TO ADD WATER IN SUMMER AND THIS YEAR FORGOT IT.

I agree with Scotty sure sounds like condensation to me too. You be amazed how much water you can get in there just sitting around. IF you had say a quart or more of water/coolant then i would be worried half a cup is not that bad. IF you keep getting water in there from condensation i would check the thermostat it could not be working and thus not getting her up to temp. Like Scotty said generally when you warm them up they burn the water off.

Clear water = condensation green water problems. That small an amount and for the most part clear you only have one problem and that is in your head not your tractor LOL
