farmall md parts

Well ours has the 2piece. We bought it 30years ago used.I think from what the dealer told dad at the time it probably was original. It is a 50. I think maybe dad is the 2nd owner besides the dealer he bought it from.

I got my wiring harness from Farm Country in Oshkosh, WI. It was the most reasonable around. Pilot Knob Restorations is also very good, but a little higher priced.
These are both cloth harnesses with proper tracers. I don't know how is the most reasonable for plastic.

Not sure I understand, can't think of any 2 piece rims used for rubber tires on a 51 MD. 2 types of cast wheels were used. One type the rim was attached to wheel with clamps similar to the way rear rims are. Seems the more common type for a 51 was a rim with 3 bolt loops that could be bolted to the inside or outside of the cast wheel, or be turned around and bolted to the cast wheel. If your'e calling a one piece rim a steel rim with a small bolt circle in the middle with 6 or 8 bolts. That wouldn't be original.

Pilot Knob is about the same. They don't have an MD in the book, but the M is about $200 with battery cables and $118 w/o. Lawrence at Farm Country was less than Pilot Knob, but I don't remember by how much. I found his card now.

Wheel and rim like pictured in the post above titled (farmall 450 thanks for helping) was more common on 51 models. Back on page 7 ready to go on 8 there,s a picture by glenster under the title (running hydraulic pump off M belt pulley). Its the other type rim and wheel. If they look like yours, both type were available when the tractor was new. So there's no wrong or right one. Use what you like or have.
