Old Farmall - What Model / Year? What type of Wheels?

All,

This is an old family photo of my great grandads farmall. Would like to know what model and year if anybody can help. Also, those steel wheels look different from any I've seen. Can you tell me anything about those?

Thanks!

My Dad had a 31 Regular, had same style wheels. had them cut off & put on 10-36 rubber on sometime around 1950.
About the smooth axle, IIRC, F-20 had a lump on top as sort of a foot rest. We just let feet slide against the cultivator bracket.

The fellows who ID this as a "Regular" Farmall are right. The smooth rear axle housing is the most obvious thing when there is so little other information in the picture. The earliest Farmalls (1924)are usually pictured with these angle-iron cleats, but the later IHC literature usually shows them with spade lugs. There are several minor differences over the years between 1924 and the last year, 1931, but you have to see more of the tractor to spot them. One of the most obvious is an filter, which I believe was added in 1929. There were maybe 3 different seat mounts, too--a couple of flat-spring types, then a coil-spring type similar to the F-20 seat, but with a somewhat different mount.
