Hinge pin..

hey guy's i'm missing a fast hitch hinge pin (looking at tractor from rear, would be the one on the left). it looks like 3/4 or 7/8 by maybe 4 in or so, is this something i will have to fabricate or can i buy one or should i just go with a big nut and bolt say grade 8 or something?

here's a pic.

You only need that pin if you want to apply downpressure to the fasthitch. Mine had a bolt and nut in place of the pin, but I removed it, as I haven't had the need for downpressure (posthole digger?), except for once using it to lift the rear of the tractor to test the hydraulics.

By the way, how do the ladder chains work for you? The lugs on my tires don't have as much angle as yours, and I think they would fall between the lugs and be useless.

chains work very good(tractor supply), i went up a fairly steep incline w 8 inchs of snow about a week ago and they dug in and got me up!
even if the chains fall between they still do help bite in and give you traction...hey thanks for info on the pin! thats exactly what i was doing yesterday, i was adjusting my brakes and went to lift the rear with the fast hitch and just thought that pin had fallen out? so i stuck a 1/2 in extension in there just to raise the back to do my adjustment on the brakes....

If you want I can measure the pin I have in the 300U I have sitting here. I may even have an extra one laying around. I seen to think I have a couple extra ones on hand
