2250 loader question

I have a chance to buy a 2250 loader. Question is, will it fit a 606 International or 544 Farmall without a lot of fabrication? It's currently on a 585. Thanks in advance, Karl.

yes it will mount on the 544 nicly we have one on ours. we had to order mounts 4 ours , we got them right from ih an they weren"t to expencive.

Define, "a lot of fabrication."

It might bolt up to the 606, but I doubt it because the 606 is a 6-cylinder tractor. You might be able to get away with simply drilling a few holes.

It definitely won't fit the Farmall 544 without some fabrication. The 544 is a frame tractor while the 584 has no frame.

I just checked the CaseIH website and it doesn't look like the brackets are available new anymore.

I mounted one last year to my 560....I ended up taking the brackets, getting two strips of 1/2" x 6 steel, and welding those to it , then mounting that to the tractor after drilling the holes.....I looked at a 656 that had one on it..

....the tractor the loader came from was a newer small utility model...a factory parts diagram also shows the different brackets used..

...it didnt take long to make the brackets work with a little welding/drilling...and I got the complete loader for $400 ( YES I stole it)...but thats what he was asking....it was on a tractor he paid $400 for with that loader..so he got a free tractor out of the deal after I bought the loader....I had $20 in some lift cylinder seals..
