574 3pt hitch lower links

I have a 574 with fixed lower links on the 3pt hitch. Can I swap them out for telescoping lower links? Or is this a bigger deal than a couple of bolts/pins? Are the stabilizer bars for the 3pt hitch necessary and does anyone have a pair? Thank you for reading and responding.

Hi Kirk, my brother has a 3230 which a near version of 574 and it has telescoping lower 3pt links. Everything is the same except for the lower links. Stabillizer bars are not necessary. Adjust lower link sway chains by putting then in the different holes on the brackets on the axles.

Easy way to solve your problem is to invest in a quick hitch. After a while those telescoping links don't work because they get rusty and dirty and will not telescope!! I have quick hitches on all my 3 PTH. and would not be without them!! I am in the process of putting quick hitches on our loaders and backhoe. On the 4020 Deere we can spend at least a 1/2 day getting the links to telescope and 2 months later they are stuck again. Armand
