Formula for Original Gray Color of McCormick-Deering 22-36

I am restoring a 22-36 version of the 15-30, with mine being a 1931 model.
I want to know the numbers for various good paints to mimic the original gray.
The person on McCormickDeering.com claims he has found the true color by virtue of finding a couple of cans of original gray. I think he wants a fee to get a formula.
In the absence of that, or even with that, what do you folks have for a color to use, EVEN IF IT IS CLOSE! I'm not one to have to have the EXACT original color...just close.
Thanks!

I looked in the book "How to restore classic farmall tractors" and they have the DuPont paint number for charcoal gray as 27625. I am not sure if that is the right color gray that you are looking for but hopefully this helps somehow.

Tom I can't help you with your question but I would like to see your tractor when you finish.

I'm am not far from you.

Hi Tom, Here's a picture of a 22-36 that used
Vansickel paint. I think its too dark for the
McCormick Deering color. It looks almost black. Our neighbor had a 15-30 and we had a 10-20 and both were battleship gray. I would use paint either from PPG, Dupont or Martin Senour. Hal
