Where do you buy rings and bearings?

Standard rings or over-sized? Have you measured the bore? Have you measured the thickness of the rings?

What size bearings? Standard or undersized? Have you had the crankshaft measured by a competent machinist?

Take the engine to a machine shop, let them hot tank it and grind the crank -- let them get the kit. Kits for an A are $400-$600, stay away from the $400. Doing the head is on top of that.

First off are you doing it the correct way or the poor mans way. The correct way is the do new sleeves have he crank turned and all. If your doing it correct buy the sleeve set from this site, nnalert or Case/IH. As for the crank have the machine shop get them for you so they are the correct ones.
Now if doing it the poor mans way and not having things checked you can still get them from this site and or nnalert but you better know what you need as in the size of every thing

Make a list of the parts needed for the overhaul. Then shop around. There is a big difference in prices from dealer to dealer.

Autoparts stores in rural areas carry engine parts for tractors.

If the engine is going to the machine shop, have the mechanic price the parts.
