OT Tractor Photo Ads

Alright, I know I"m getting a little older and settled in my ways but. . . . . I think its pushing things to put parts on the "tractor" classifieds but I just saw a wood stove over there! I don"t want to be the correct patrol but my gosh, are we going to see animals or appliances next? They don"t even try to disguise it by pretending to want to trade for a tractor anymore. Just irritates me to see people not volutarily playing by the rules is all.

Good mornin' Peculiar; I agree with you...you must be getting older and settled! Me 2. When I saw that earlier this a.m. I thought "now that is abusing a good thing." A FREE (they ain't makin' may of them any more) thing on top of it. I will admit there is info to the ad; irks me when minimal info is given, sometimes barely stating the obvious, what is the point. Criminetaly!!!Give some details...older and settled...PF, Thanks for this post, great last sentence.

(quoted from post at 19:55:22 02/10/10) relax and ignore it...the person will learn

No, he won't.

This place is not moderated at all. Nobody is going to remove the ad and send him a note telling him that it's inappropriate for this site.

If he's never told that it's wrong, he will never know it's wrong.

The sad part is someone will answer his ad and buy the stove.

It's just like people posting wanted ads and for sale ads in this forum... The people that do it don't learn that it's wrong. They learn that it's effective.

Heck, even "how much is it worth?" posts... "I'm thinking of selling my tractor. How much is it worth?" It works the same as a for sale ad. You just know someone is going back-channel and making an offer.

If nobody is going to moderate the site then send a kind e-mail to the guy stating that the ad is in the wrong place . Ask him to remove it if you like. You don't need to go spouting off 'Citizen's Arrest' like Gomer Pyle on a Farmall board 'cause of some stove ad. I am on here every day and don't see excessive abuse of the photo ad section. Put the complaint on another forum section or something speaking of putting stuff in the wrong place!
