Block dipped, crank ground, firecrater piston kit, head gone over, governor rebuilt and of course all new gaskets, seals and bearings. All for a 1950 super A that will do little more than pull a trailer, attend a couple shows, and antique pulls. Just gotta put the new clutch on and bolt er in. Hope my manual covers this clutch install part well. I have never done one.

Just make sure you have the clutch disc facing the correct way toward the flywheel. Use a clutch alignment tool so the disc is centered and will mate to the output shaft easily before tightening the bolts. Hal

Thanks, I guess I will need to get a clutch alignment tool. Will the manual show which way to face the plate? Will it also have torque specs for the clutch? I don't have the best manual.

If you have a deep socket that will just fit inside that spline on your clutch disc and in the
bearing in your flywheel, that will work too. That's what I used on an A in 1976. Put a light coating of oil the output spline so it will slide on easily. Hal
PS: I don't see any torque specs for the clutch cap screws, but I think 35 foot-pounds should be ok. Take a look at your new clutch disc to see if it has a direction on it. Like toward flywheel.
