I have a head off of a 123 engine(supposely) and the combustion chambers looked a little deep,about 7/8 inches.The numbers on the head are 251172r2 but my parts book shows a number of 251174r2.Now,question,is the number on my head 251172r2 the correct number for a 123 engine??? I checked on one of my "C"s and the number was 251172r1.Do I have a 123 head or a 113 head??? I know that a 113 will interchange but I thought that 123 had shallower chambers that the 113,I could be wrong but it has been awhile since I looked at a 123 beside a 113 head.I would really like to get a hold of a 135,9 bolt hole head if anyone has one close to N.W.Ar. and cheap enough.
 
I"ve got the head...but need a block! I may never get one either because I refuse to pay $300+ for one. Just bide your time and you might find one at the right price....at least that is what I keep telling myself. If not, I"ll convert the rest of the tractor into parts and try to get rich like the rest of these parts purveyors do. Sometimes you"re better off.
