my a has sit for 15 years and when i drained it it was sludge. cannot get it completely clean.how do i do that?

Fill it up with diesel fuel and drive it around for a little bit or jack one wheel up and let it run for a little while then let it sit for an hour or two and it should drain out.

If your A has a rockshaft housing under the seat, you can be sure the bottom of it has sludge in it as well. I don't know much about the letter series though.

A quart of ATF /Dextron to the gallon of diesel or Kerosene/untaxed heating oil makes a fair tranny and rear end cleaner, can be used to soak old engines that have been setting in the weather a few years also. Cheaper than stoddard solvent. RN

Kerosene was recommended by the manufacturer, but if mos tof it has drained out, fill with new fluid and change it again next summer. It's quick, easy, and won't hurt a thing, even if you're using it for heavy tillage.

I would add a gal of diesel drive it around then drain and repeat second drain should come out pretty clean.
