hydro leak

has anyone encountered a hydro fluid leak on 300u where the high pressure line and return line mate to the housing in front of the drivers seat. i quickley looked at the ih case web sit and it shows a couple o-rings under that flange, are the standard rubber o-rings? or the copper crush type?

I cannot answer your question; however, going back to lube confusion - what fluid goes in the reservoir under the seat? I have an I 300U (1956) with T/A, power steering, PTO, 3 point (fast hitch? I think). The fast hitch and power steering both utilize this under seat reservoir and I am still unsure what fluid to use?

that res under the seat takes the HY-tran or equivalent. it's the bigger fill plug towards the left front under the seat.....

I would use teflon O rings, but Buna-N (standard rubber) are OK Make sure the flange is not cracked! Jim
