Farmall H gas cap gasket

Were can I buy a new gasket for the gas cap. She leaks if I fill it up above about 3/4's of a tank

Dealer should have them and there is one on ebay with the right replacement number.
You can by cork material at NAPA and make them.

I had the same problem with an H. I cut one out of gasket material and it works perfectly. Not one drop has leaked, even with full tank.

Buy the ebay one. The last ones I got from Case IH the list price was something like $8 bucks. The partsman knocked them back to about 5 and I took all he had. I doubt he reorders any.

If the new gasket still leaks, the top of the filler neck may be scratched or pitted. 600 grit emery cloth backed with a flat paint stick (don't recommend steel bar) stopped the seepage of my '51 H.

Why bother with a new gasket when you can get a free cap. If you want i can look it up. 2 years ago i got 10 new caps for farmalls for free. i just emailed them and two weeks later i got a box of caps in the mail. Erik.

Gordo,
It has been my experience that inner tube rubber break down and stretches out of shape from contact with the gasoline.
