This tractor has been in my dad’s shed for 14 years and has never moved (he couldn't remember why it was there as he never used in much in the first place), so i decided i needed a winter project and tore it down in my shop. This is the first time i have overhauled a tractor (or anything else). the head/block have been checked out, new sleeves, etc. so now I’m ready to put it back together. I'm looking for the "how to put it back together For Dummies"; the order, specs, torque, etc. Any advice out there???? Thanks for your help!!!

If you call Binder Books they can supply all the IHC mauals (Parts, Owner"s, Service, Blue Ribbion) that you. Reasonable prices, great quality.
"IT" manuals are also a good reference either in addition to (or some use them in place of) the IHC manuals.
An M Farmall is a good tractor to start with. I do recommend that you pay particular attention to the engine timing gears as you are putting them back together.
Good luck and don"t forget to have fun with it!
