F12 transmission

I need to replace the gaskets on these, both sides. I assume there is preload on bearings under these?

What can of worms am I opening up?

Just want to make sure before I dig into it, don't want to create bearing problems in the transmission.

Doug, I pulled out the book and no good pictures of belt pully shaft on 12-14s lots of pictures of 20-30s . I this I removed the plate made new gaskets and replace the seal from Rice. It been a while. Oldiron29

From memory I believe they are straight ball bearings.

I've had the transmission cover off but it's been several years. I thought I remembered straight ball bearings in there, but I can't remember things as well as I used too.

I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

yes, they are a heavy duty ball brg. check your shaft for movement, as those brgs are usually worn.
