MW govener HELP!!!

This is to anyone who might have some info! I have a M&W 4 wieght govener on Div. II M. ? Got it from a tractor salvage and was told it was off a 450. Went to put it on and found the neck to be way short and the govener to carb was short to boot. I did some looking and found it was off a H. So I switched the neck and shaft off of my old govener. BUT my question is, what length should the all tread be in between the rod ends? and what is the bolt about on the back of the main case

With that threaded linkage unhooked, pull throttle wide open, lift linkage to carb up fully so butter fly is wide open in carb and adjust linkage to that length. Far as bolt on back, only one I can think of is a surge control adjustment.

About 2.75 on the rod length or 4.75 center to center on the eyes. If the bolt doesn't have a spring brtween it and the back of the fork or rock lever, forget about it. Those housings were mostly used on power units to help control surging. I supose you installed the front lever from the M&W throttle shaft to the IH throttle shaft.

FencerowM, I"ve got the oppisite problem. I need those short parts from an H to fix my 44 H tractor.I would be interested in buying those from you or I"ll mod mine as you had to. Please call my cell if you can I would appreciate it . Thanks GENE 314-313-9948
