Just got back from a 2 hour ride in the snow on the old A. Roads around here are still not in good shape so most of the trip was in 2nd or 3rd gear no more than 1/2 throttle. One guy stopped me and said thats wanting to get out bad, I said no this is what I call having a great time. Anyway I had to come back home it"s starting to turn to Ice and she don"t go so well on that frozen stuff. All and all 4 hours pushing snow than a couple just riding around made for a relaxing day. Now I will be glad when the snow is gone.

Hey tackhammer...what year is your A?
I have a 1941...I just love it...cute little thing.
My other tractors are a 1952 8N Ford and a 1930 McCormick-Deering 22-36. You have given me the impetus to get my A out "in the snow" because it DOES sound like a good time!!

Mine is a 42 Someday I hope to get a push blade for it. Then I could make a little money pushing snow. Right now I push snow with a as my nieghbor calls it TONKA TOY Its a Cub Cadet GT 2542 does a great job on driveways and the road just takes my a few more passes but I can get into more places than his big fords.

How can you come on here, telling these stories with no pictures :D ? My imagination is only good for so much, when it comes to tractors, I need pictures.

Wish I had thought to take the camera with me. Maybe next time, It was mighty nice out there I like the many things you can see and smell that you don't notice when in a vehicle.
