Cleaning out a fuel tank

I got this 966 about a year ago and every now and then something plugs the fuel line from the tank to the filters bad enough to kill the engine. I have been putting an air hose on it and back blowing the line. This always works, for a while. However, having just taken a bath in diesel fuel (at 15 degrees F) I guess it is time to clean out the tank. Anyone got any good ideas about how in the world I do this when the tank is full? And without dismantling the whole upper mid section of the tractor and taking the tank off?

Hay, not sure why you don't have a response yet except that we just had a long thread on it a few days ago and 5 pages back in classic view. A ton of threads in the archives if you do a search on gas tank.

No way you can do it without emptying the tank.

Maybe just a roll of fiberglass window screen material up from the bottom drain pipe so it sticks into the tank a couple inches will suffice once you've cleaned up the rust on the bottom with some muratic acid or better yet the phosphoric acid found in Behr concrete etcher at home cheapo and then flush it out.
