504 Rear Light

Anybody happen to have a picture of a flat top fender 504 with the original rear/tailight on it? Mine was long gone when I got the tractor, and I don"t know what the bracket looked like. Case IH has discontinued the part (#390-039-R1) and I"ve been looking around the "net and calling salvage yards-no luck. If I knew what I was looking for it might be interchangeable with another model (I hope). Also out of curiosity anyone know what the difference between a standard rear light assembly and a shock proof rear light assembly is? Case IH lists both parts. Thanks in advance

Can't help you on the bracket.

The standard light has a metal shell and a metal band with a screw to clamp the bulb to the housing. The shockproof light has a metal housing and a RUBBER band that the bulb slips into.

Forgot to add and you may already know this, but the flattop fenders should have the shockproof lights in then. The rear light should be the same type.

You can look it up at caseih.com and search for parts for your model of 504. Look under electrical and lighting. Sheet metal shows the fender. Sometimes the general has an tractor pic. There are 4 different 504s listed. It may show up with the 2504 or the 2544 or similar model.
