I posted this in the wanted adds also but have had little luck. Looking for a 2post Roll bar and Canopy for a 1256. Hoping someone has one outback of the shed somewhere or on a junk tractor. Thanks!!

You know, just because your wanted ad didn't work after a whopping 19 minutes and 4 seconds, does not give you the right and privilege to stomp all over the users of this forum by blatantly side-stepping the rules.

It shows a total lack of respect.

Want ads rarely work, but they're not the only way to find the item you're looking for.

I know, people do it all the time, but that doesn't make it right. We really shouldn't be encouraging this behavior by helping them find what they're looking for. Oh, it's no big deal... Let it slide... Let it slide... Let it slide... Especially when they know better! That seems very UN-American to me.

People have a responsibility to know the rules of this forum and to follow them out of respect for the people that provide the forums to us and to the other users of this forum. If you don't hold people responsible for their actions you have chaos.

Well mkirsch Thank you for being so kind!!! Maybe I should have told you or maybe you could have asked nicely that I posted the ad about 2 weeks ago. And I hadn't heard from anybody about one. You know there are alot of other people that ask for more than a simple canopy on here so why jump down my throat? I would like to THANK YOU for giving me a reason not to use this site anymore. I will just stay on my other sites that aren't so grouchy and enjoy people asking questions about IH equipment!!!

Not to rain on your parade but alot of the wanted ads do work on the forum. Many people turn up with stuff, they work becasue not everyone looks through the ads, and some of those people that don"t look at the ads have parts they don"t need laying around. It is against the rules but it isn"t really that big of a deal.

how do we go about amending this rule to allow "want ads" in the forum...want ads only, not for sale. just a thought. Now that's American.

as far as the canopy, isn't OEM parts selling those now?
