Which one(s)?

The plug at the rear of the camshaft is 1-5/8".

The water jacket plug at the rear of the block is 2" (172592, replaced by 63556R1).

Can't remember if there's any others???

I know a few people (BLEMS) who probably COULD get the cam plug to freeze!

I commented the way I did 'cause there are a few variations of the head, etc. and I wanted to CMA just in case there's another plug somewhere in some versions of the block/head!

They are not for freeze protection at all. They are holes to facilitate removal of core sand from head and block castings. They are called welch plugs.

lbp,

Call 'em what you want, the official name in the IH C-123 partsbook is "expansion plug".
