Stupid Super C Question

For some reason I have to clean the rotor cap and rotor about every 2 to 3 months. The contact part of the rotor is copper, and the inside of the cap is a silver metal of some sort. These get a white deposit on them and the copper rotor turns green and also has the white stuff. This makes the tractor run like $hit.
I was cleaning them today and I can't get the rotor off. It looks like it should just pull off but it won't. I don't want to break it so I thought I would ask first. How does the rotor come off? Thanks Ron

The Rotor Just Pulls Off!!

Clean them Up or Buy New and Use Dieletric Grease on them!! This Will Help!

I have the same problem with my H (the condensation, not the stuck rotor). I think the seal in my distributor is shot. The symptoms are a little better after greasing the distributor.

The white metal is aluminum, the white deposit is aluminum oxide, an insulator.
