Radiator removal on M

Has anyone had experience removing radiator on an M? I have removed the steering shaft that passes through top of radiator, however I do not see how to access the two bolts that attach the base of the radiator to the frame.

they can be a little of a bugger to get to. if you have the metal mud shield under the bolster, you need to remove that. there are access holes directly below the radiator mounting bolts to getup in there with a deep socket on an extension. if the cotter pins and castle nuts are still there, spray some penetrating oil on em and work the pins out. worst case, buzz the nuts off with an impact, it should cut the pins.

Thanks for the reply.
This tractor has the wide front.
It looks like I might have to remove the front end to gain access under the radiator. Wanted to make sure that was what was needed before I went to that trouble to remove the radiator.

Warning, not all M bolsters have the radiator stud access holes below the studs. Ones that don't can be a real pain. Still have to go through a hole in the bottom.

Did that on a 450 and the way we did it was to use a u-joint on a socket extension then you also have to stand on your head and hold your mouth just right. Or in other words it can be done with out removing the front end but it is a real pain. Before you put it back on be sure to clean the treads up on the studs so as to make it easier to put things back on

I am sorry, I am about to show my ignorance. When you speak of the bolstor are you refering to the heavy cast iron piece the radiator sets on or the heavy metal plate the front end is bolted onto ?
It seems that other replies have stated they have accessed the ends of the bolts from below through a small hole. If you are calling the bolstor this heavy plate, this M certainly is one of those without holes. So it looks like I will have to remove the front end. What a pain!

Yes the heavy cast piece the radiator sits on is called a bolster. Most times the wide front part has to be removed to get to the radiator hold down studs.
