Weakness allowed me to purchase a 444 as a project. Does anyone know if the farmall H engine block is the same block used in the triple 4
 
they are not at all, the 444 is the C153 and the H is the 152. The 444 has an engine in the same 'family' as the Super C, 140, 340 tractors, the c113, c123, and c135 engines were its predecessor.

are you sure andrew? just curious I thought they had the c135 internals. I know the block is different than the a b c series. the book I have for a 434 says it has a bc-144 petrol engine which is different again
 
Ih, it is in the same 'family'. it is the progression of the 113 to 123 to 135 to 153. There are not many many parts that are swap around on them its just the engine family tree if you will. Im not sure about the 144 im not sure, from the books i have it shows the 434 having the 154 in both gas and diesel. The 424 has a 146 in gas and 154 in diesel i think. It gets confusing there are so many variations on the same frame work. Hard to keep things straight, at least for me.

The 444 is one of those tractors that was built in England. If shipped for sale in the US they were shipped on skids consisting of the clutch housing through rear axles. Engines, electrical system, front axle, sheet metal were all installed in the US before delivery to dealers. If shipped to Canada they were complete tractors with British engines, electrical systems, and sheet metal.
 
Does the 2444 and the 444 have the same grill and tin. I need the complete grill and side skirts for a 444.

Yes, unless the 2444 has the heavy duty grill.
 
No. The 444 has a C153 C.I. motor. It is the same as a 504.....most of the sheet metal is also the same. Not the radiator support/grill.

I have just about completed my 444 utility. It's a cute tractor.
