OT: Product Minature IH bulldozer

In my wanderings I found a guy that has an original Product Minature TD-6 (I think) IH remote controlled bulldozer. It has a transformer that goes from 110v to 16v with the controls on top of it. Goes fast/slow, forward/reverse, and left/right. Plugged it in and it works great, very nice shape and really cool. Anyway the guy wants to sell it, but has no idea what it's worth. Any ideas? I can't find any info anywhere on it.

I would say that just the toys (models) go for about 50-100. The remote control toys would go for significantly more than that, especially in great shape. Look for them on ebay and see what they go for.

I looked in Dick's Farm Toy Price Guide and there were 4 versions, but none mentioned with remote control.

They ranged from $200 to $450.

Make him a low offer and go from there.

The TD24 I mentioned had a bulldozer blade that could be angled and also manually raised. The transformer was a square box with the controls on top. I believe the box was black with a red top. There was a flexable cable to the dozer probably about ten feet long. I had one in the early 50's so memory of details on it are fuzzy.

The TD-24 was the same scale as the "Model Toys" brand construction toys at the time. I also had a "Model Toys" Hough Pay Scraper, a "Model Toys" Adams Motor Grader, and a "Model Toys" cement mixer. The "Model Toys" were all steel whereas the TD-24 was plastic.

Many years ago at the amusement park in Council Bluffs, Iowa, one of the arcades had a game with the remote controlled TD-24s, with a coin box to get them to work. I spent many a dime moving dirt with them.
