I would like to know if the MFWD for a 1466 is worth the cost or if it is just to clumsy and not viable for that age tractor. Would like opinions.
Thanks.

they don't turn real short but they are like a huge pair of ta-tas they are real neat to look at and your friends will all be jeolous of you.

So other than being expensive is there any downside?

Looks cool, makes other guys jealous, fun to play with.... Sounds like a winner to me :)

from what Ive found trying to get a 1586 with MFWD the cost cant be justified, especially since on the resale side everyone is afraid of them it seems. I was replacing a 1486 some years back and ended up with a JD 4450 mfwd a 1988. As for big pair of ta-ta's, once you get used to them being around only guys without them will care to see em. You might catch your tractor at your neighbors while your out working.

Ok Thanks for the help. I already have the tractor and was looking at a MFWD for it. I found one so it is not like I have to invest several thousand here. I would like to go with a 4955 or 4960 just to much money for that route though. I can"t comment on the rest of the replies though, they are cute and humorous.

Thanks

oh ok, well in that case I guess I would do it. I hear they dont turn too sharp but I have found the mfwd to be very useful. If it didnt cost too much and you want it go for it. I dont know what "not very sharp" means, I dont ever seem to turn sharp when tilling anyway.
