Farmall on Ebay

Maybe I don't understand how "rare" this is but that seems like one HECK of a lot of money for something that needs a frame up resto.

Probably the same 300 high crop that was mentioned last week on this forum. This thread and the earlier one were most likely authored by the current seller or friends. I am not going to bother with the research to find out.

Three days left. 8 bids have elevated price to $7657. Think I gave it a pre-auction estimate of $15,000 if delivered to a well known auction house. It is in NC. We'll see what happens.

I thought all 300, even the high clearence came out with IPTO and TA? If you look close at all the pictures, it's looks like a SHV with 300 sheet metal. Someone correct me if I am wrong because I am not sure.

I think it is real but the absence of an ID tag is troubling.

The TA and IPTO could have been deleted as many southern tractors were so configured. Harold H has made this point many times

It has the 300-350 center section and rear frame. It is interesting that the rear frame lid looks like a 350 part and not a 300 part. It must mean that the Fast Hitch was not available for the High Crops.

Nope. Got a Farmall and an International in the tool shed dad had. No IPTO on either of them. I also have a non-TA on a utility here in Houston with a IH loader on it.

Wardner, are you forgeting the 300 serial tag is on the right side. I can't tell from the picture if its there or not. Tractor is in the photo ads this site for $10000. Says good tag.

Dave, was not aware of rhe right side ID tag placement. I don't have any 300's. Just a few 400's. The seller should have included a tag photo. He still can. It's not too late.

That rear frame lid is interesting. Why would IH cast, make, and inventory a separate lid for the limited production 300 High Crop? This not a reverse operation tractor. A better picture would be helpful. Perhaps it is not fair to compare a 300 lid to a 400 lid where it concerns the rockshaft pad.

From what I can see in the picture it looks like a regular 300 trans top. Only difference in tops from 300 to 350 I can think of now is the real early 300 used 7/16 inch bolts in rear hold down holes and most used 1/2 inch bolts and holes. Transmission cases were tapped to match.
Not all transmission cases have the holes drilled and tapped above the rear pto opening also.
