What is a Farmall SMTA Diesel worth. it has power steering. wide front end. in VERY NICE condition. TA is strong.almost new tires all the way around?
 
Since condition and appearance mean so much, a few photos would really help - things like knowing if the wide front is IH or aftermarket, as an example. mike
 
Depends on where you are and how much the guy wants to sell it or how bad someone wants to buy it. That being said the one you describe sounds like in the 15,000-18,000 range. However seen them go higher and lower as well. As the other fellow said pics help alot.

It has factory wide front end. with almost new tires. all it seems to need is paint it starts and runs like a champ and has no leaks
 
Make sure and check the coolant for oil and oil for coolant. Also check for air bubbles in the radiator this can be indicator that the head is cracked. They are great tractors just make sure its 100% mechanical before settling on a price. That engine can be big money to get into if you have to.

Well there wasnt any coolant in the oil i got to witness the guy change the oil. but ill have to check for bubbles inthe radiator.

It doesn't surprise me that prices are down. Times are tough and as always, farmers are the hardest ones hit.

Then again, it may be an indication that the SMTA "fad" is finally starting to fade.
