310 engine

How good is the 310 German diesel. I know where I can find a running 310 for $300 or less. Is this a good buy? Are they a reliable engine?

That sounds like a real deal if it is in good shape. They were a good engine and were used in the 756 and some of the 686s hydro 86, some 706s and a couple of industrial tractors.

I have a 310 in my 756 I've had since the early 80's an it's a very durable engine. The 358 is the bigger one of the series,came in tractors & combines.Good engine. good luck GENE

If it did turn out to be junk salvage yards will give you at least $500 for a core. You can't lose for $300.
