Hello again everyone, i have champion D21 plugs...seem to be a pretty weak plug, don"t care much for them....it"s what was in there so havn"t changed "em yet. what do you all preffer?

Heat range is more important than brand. I think the D21 is the 2nd to hottest Champion, I think they make a D23? In a little used tractor a hotter plug will result in a cleaner plug and combustion chamber. If used every day D15/17 or equivalent in some other brand is ok. I refuse to enter a Champion hater discussion.

I personally use an Autolite 386. I run them in all my tractors, and get very good life out of them! I have ran the champion plugs, both d21 and d23's, but they just don't hold up as well for me. I run a little hotter coil on mine as well. I think I have had the same plugs in my 560 for 3 years.

Bingo! I've used Champions (and others) for years All have worked well but the Champions have done me fine. No arguments here.

I always use aldoring plugs in everything. they are guranteed to fire in oil and some of my equipment has had the same plug's for seven years, these are tractors i pull with, check him out hes in new york, also the plugs you buy fire between 10000 -14000 volts if your ign system has it avaliable, these have there own resistor in them they will fire up to 18000 volts and as the engine gets warm they adjust there fireing rate.

This is just like the Ford vs Chevrolet arguments. All major makers make a good spark plug or they would not still be in business. I personally prefer Champions for IHC engines.
