Thank you Yesterday"s Tractor for the great new photo ad web-page. The photos on the right sure are a great feature. No wonder the YT site is my home page.

Other than a dot beside the ads with a link, and its slower to laod pics now, I dont see any difference.

Like most things, IT DEPENDS!
If you have high speed internet service, it is a nice change.
If you have dial up or what I call "country-dial-up) it is a terrible change.
Most of the web sites these days have written off the dial up folks. The animation content kills you, the many photo-like banners, etc. Even software updates, downloads for your camera, etc. are so big that the net either times out or has so many errors that it can't complete because the bundles are too big (500MB+) for the slow transmission rate. If you have dial up, and can't reasonably get anything else (there are some options, none as good as city folks have, and they are too expensive), you are basically more & more pushed into the ditch every passing day.
Really rural areas can at best obtain a 'real' rate that is maybe 10% of the 56K that the dial up modem is claimed capable, whereas in town, near rge exchange office, you can see close to 50K.
You are just SOL........tough old world.

it now takes five times longer to load the adds on dialup. certainly no improvement here.
Ok, I am one of the dial up gang and I did a little experimenting with the new photo ad format.
At first glance it seems like the page is opening very slow, but in fact it is only the thumbnail pictures that take a long time. The page text opens as always and it is all there just as it was before. You don't have to wait for the small photos to open to browse the page text. If you find something you want to look at, then click "Details" and it opens as fast as before.
If you don't pay any attention to the small photos that open with the page you will be able to use photo ads just as you did before.
