McCormick Deering 22-36

I made a trip down into Kansas yesterday and picked up this brute, 1929 McCormick Deering 22-36. My first pre '39 IHC tractor.

You know, I'm looking over your pictures and I realize there are not many fundamental differences between the 22-36 and a W-9. It just really caught my attention.

Nice tractor. One day, I'll find something similar in my neck of the woods.

Kirk,
I have TWO 22-36's.
The first one came off the family farm in Idaho and I had it shipped back to my home in Iowa.
The second one came from an eBay sale last month, also from Kansas, like yours.
I intend to make ONE tractor out of the two.
So, I will have certain extra parts that you may need.
The Idaho tractor has a stuck engine, but the Kansas one is free, although it has some big pits in some of the sleeves.

That is a good looking tractor. It looks like it has manifold off of p300. Glad you got it. I might have a few parts if you need also if anybody has a good hood for one I would like to here from you.

I brought one home this spring, someone put in an Allis Chalmers U,UC motor in it. It is stuck tight! The steering is even stuck, it has nice rear steel on it. My other 2 have full steel, one with spades and the other with grouser's. Nice find!
