Farmall H lift All hydraulics

I have a oil leak at the oil fill cap. When I have the lift all engaged it starts to leak oil. I have removed the pump and found the relief valve spring lever broke, and I found what was left of the breather felt in the relief valve itself. Removed felt and replaced relief valve and lever but problem still exists. Checked pump pressures and everything was ok. Has anyone had this problem before or have any ideas what else I can do.

Not really. There should not be any pressure in the reservoir. Do you have external lines plumbed in the wrong place?

I do have external lines, and when I unhook them I still have the same problem

Maybe a foaming problem. What type of oil are you using?

I am using Case IH Hy-tran. I have been for years and I use it in all my equipment.

In that case, I'm out of ideas. If I think of anything else, I'll post it. Hopefully you will find the problem and be able to let us know.

I will see what I can do thanks for all your help guys. I will keep you posted when I find the problem in case anyone else has this problem.
