Farmall 300 High Crop

I have a 300 high crop. Good sheet metal, runs good, good tag, and all high crop parts are in good shape. What is a tractor like this worth? Any help is appreciated.

What you are describing is a very collectible tractor. This is going to sound strange, but anyone who knows what you've got there won't want to pay you what it is worth. A restored 300 High Crop might bring 5 figures in the right circles. Unrestored and as you describe, probably $5,000 (to a collector). Someone who doesn't know much about tractor values may not want to pay that much (or not know ANYTHING and think $5,000 is a great deal).

These "what's it worth?" posts are a slippery slope and I hope you're asking just for your own satisfaction as you enjoy owning it and driving it around. The buyer will ultimately establish its value. I hope for you all the best in your tractorin' endeavors.

Several years ago, two nicely restored 350D high crops brought $20,000+ each at an auction.

If you are selling, you should contact someone like Aumman Auctioneers and ask them what upcomming auction your tractor will fetch the best price. Get a pre-auction estimate too. Check with Polk, and others, as well. These guys know the market but will probably inflate the pre-bid value to some extent.

I think auction prices have slipped in the past several years. A SMTAD High Crop sold for $45,000 two and a half years ago. That same tractor has been resold twice since then. Last price was slightly over $20,000.

I am guessing your 300 high crop might bring $10,000-$15,000. Some people like good originals but others like shiny paint.
