Steering Shaft Bearing

Can you help me find a steering shaft bearing. Part number is IHC C-225. Bearing is 2.05 o/s diameter on .981 i/s diameter. Presses onto shaft. Ball bearings inside with a frame to keep them in place.

I think this is the steering shaft bearing for the C, Super C, 200 and similar tractors. If so, the IH number is ST 225. The C-225 designation is a bearing manufacturers number. According to my old IH bearing cross reference book, New Departure was the original manufacturer and they are out of business. However, any IH dealer or other people that deal in IH parts should be able to supply this bearing. I'm sure you can get it from C&G in Wisconsin. And look under the parts on the left hand side of this site. It may be there as well.

Any good bearing supplier should be able to cross reference that IH Number.

I appreciate the NAPA number. They had one in stock. How do I get Napa numbers for these old machines?

Napa still has the books for IH cross reference in most established stores as long as you have the accurate IH number in hand. Some are getting obscure by now and you have to do a little research...
