Are the 86 series with MFWD or FWA worth looking into. I've kicked the idea around on a 14 or 15 for a while, I hear an Elwood was the better of the two if there were 2. How are they? Can you turn a circle in less than a mile and are they reliable. It almost seems like they are something for the collector only.

I'm probably wrong on this, but the Coleman axles were standard up through the late '86 series. 88 series came equipped with the Elwood axle.

Mostly, they're tough to find in decent shape. The tractors that are still running are still in use and getting pretty beat.

I would agree with that, every one Ive seen generally looks like its been in the sun for 30 years. IH pink is my least favorite color. I'd like to find one though, but Im not willing to pay nostalgia prices only to have to fix it all up to use.
