826 draining coolant.

Just wondering if there is a coolant drain plug on the block on a 826 German Diesel.

I can't find one so I disconnected the lower radiator hose from the radiator.

Does all the coolant drain out that way?

seems to me it has a plug in left rear corner of block, been a few years since working on that engine.

There is also a drain plug on the oil cooler.

It is not critical if you are just changing coolant because not much will come out of it after the block and radiator are drained, but if you are just draining water and it will freeze, there will be enough water left in it so that the ice will ruin it
